Bethlehem Vision Retreat

The Leadership Team of the First Baptist Church of Bethlehem gathered for a one-day Vision Retreat. Moderator Karl Parker provided opportunity for healthy dialogue looking at question such as: “What is our purpose?” “What is preventing us from living or purpose?” And “How does our past influence our future?”

Called To Serve

It was a day of celebration at the ordination service of Rev. Chris Davis at FBC Norristown. Clergy from the Central Union Association & Norristown Ministerium, together with many friends and family from both FBC and the wider community took part.

Christmas PJs

When Christmas Day falls on a Sunday, just hours after gathering for the Christmas Eve services, GraceCrossing Community Church got creative! They invited folks to come in their Christmas PJ’s and other apparel. Yes. Yes, they did. They sang carols, heard a brief meditation, had brunch, held a “fashion show”, and exchanged white elephant gifts.

As Pastor Eric Kraihanzel, ABCOPAD President Bryon Luke, and I prepared to head home  from the mission reconnaissance trip to Mexico, Lupita Anzaldo, her husband Ino and their family treated us to a delicious home-cooked meal to celebrate my birthday. Amazing enchiladas and a fabulous birthday cake were served. Just being with this family who have adopted us into their family was such a blessing. Grateful and thankful for these partners in ministry who faithfully serve Jesus in this corner of God’s Kingdom.

Feasting With Friends

The annual Post-Christmas Dinner brought together pastors from the Northumberland Baptist Association (and neighboring associations!). Thanks to an amazing hospitality crew, a delicious meal included appetizers, soup, salad, stuffed chicken breast… I could go on and on, but rather than make you hungry, I’ll stop.

A recent Zoom call gathered younger pastoral leaders within our region, seeking to discern how God is leading. It provided a unique opportunity to support and encourage one another. Thanks for the technology that affords the chance to connect with other leaders in our region and discuss ideas on what future ministry and gatherings look like. There were 16 who were able to participate
