New Hope Fall Festival

The Fall Festival at the New Hope Christian Church in Broomall offered lots of fun. It was a great way to bring the community together on a beautiful autumn day.

The Great Message

Recently Jeff Johnson was a guest on "The Great Message" radio program hosted by Rev. Brad Lacey, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Conshohocken and President of the Philadelphia Bible Society. They spent more than a half hour talking about their faith in Christ, the state of the American Church, and the premise of his book, Got Style? (in its tenth year of publication and its third printing!).

Gilpin Retirement

The sanctuary was filled to capacity for the retirement service for Pastor Gary Gilpin at the Aldenville Baptist Church. Church family members along with people from the community and lots of out of town guests came for the celebration.

It probably won’t surprise you to know the service was filled with music and singing. The congregation along with the church choir offered many praise and worship songs as well as traditional hymns.

Rev. Dr. Frank Frischkorn along with Rev. Dr. David Laubach and the Deacons of the church called Pastor Gary and Lisa forward to lay hands on them and offer a blessing as they move into this next stage of their life journey.

The church family honored Pastor Gary and Lisa with a beautiful retirement celebration at nearby Camp Ladore.

Pastor Gary and his wife Lisa will soon be moving to their recently built new house in Florida.

Chili Cook-Off

West Shore Baptist Church in Camp Hill honored the First Responders of their community this evening by hosting a Chili Cook-Off. Twelve competitors vied for the title of “best” Chili and it came down to a taste-off with the Mayor of Camp Hill deciding the winner....congratulations to Eric Born!

It was such a wonderful evening for the church family to say “Thank You” to all those who put their lives on the line to care for us.
