Greene County Food Pantry

Pastor Cristy Wise southwest GPS volunteered at the Greene County food bank at the fairgrounds in Waynesburg. Helping hands prepare boxes on Wednesday then distribute them on the 4th Thursday of each month. More volunteers are always welcome and needed! It's a privilege to be the hands and feet of Jesus and to encourage those driving through. There are many opportunities to pray with those having a tough day. Pastor Jim Carpenter of WWJD volunteers, as do some of his church members.

Members of the Lower Providence Baptist Church gathered for the Installation Service for their new pastor Ken Webster. It was a joyful celebration with Moderator Mary Buler offering words of welcome, Rev. Rob French reading scripture, Rev. Robert DaValt delivering the message, and Rev. Eric Kraihanzel charging both Pastor Ken and the Congregation.

Terrific Techies

Josh Kagi (Royersford Baptist Church) is one of dozens of super techs across our region; they've been critical in helping local churches broadcast weekly worship services through the recent years of covid-19 restrictions. Josh has done a masterful job upgrading the technology at the church including a new soundboard, two new flat screens, Mevo Cameras, and more.

Meeting John Wycliffe

Pastors of the Bradford-Abington Association LLC gathered at the Gillett Baptist Church. The group read a biography of John Wycliffe. It was inspiring to learn more about this courageous leader of the faith who, despite enormous adversity, remained true to God and God’s Word.

Exploring Ezra

Facilitator Leigh Taylor did a great job blending scripture reading, interactive questions, and lively discussion as an adult class at Springfield Baptist Church studied the Book of Ezra and the rebuilding of the Temple.

Rev. David Brunner was busy with a Vision Team meeting at Springfield Baptist Church, using Church Unique and the Auxano material to guide Springfield through the vision process. Kindness Counts

At Woodlawn Baptist Church in Aliquippa, one of many fun things Pastor Howard Irwin is doing is an online breakfast with the kids of the church. Pastor Howard stops by the homes of around twenty children dropping off a sack breakfast. The kids then meet on Zoom for a "Kindness Counts" gathering to share breakfast with Pastor Howard, have a Bible lesson, and spend time together. What a GREAT idea. Pastor Howard has been quite intentional in developing  innovative ways in which the church uses both face-to-face and digital gatherings to minister in the community.
