During the public gathering restrictions due to Covid-19, many congregations have created virtual choirs to present sacred anthems. An example: This beautiful virtual choir anthem was created by First Baptist Church choir of Lewisburg for Easter 2021. He Gave It All by Phillip Keveren.

Reclaiming Your Marriage

Kudos to Rev. Lisha Edmonds (Mount Olive Baptist Church, Canonsburg), as she launches the revised edition of her book "Reclaiming Your Marriage". It is a self-published 31-day devotional.

Writes the author: "In the early years of our marriage my husband and I separated twice, it didn't look good for us. We both had been married previously. The baggage from those relationships reared its head in our marriage and it tried to destroy it. BUT, our story does not end there.... through God's grace and mercy, He has blessed us with 28 years of marriage! We Reclaimed Our Marriage and you can do the same!"

Available HERE.

Healthy Steps Diaper Bank

The Mission Board at West Shore Baptist Church, Camp Hill, organized an effort to bridge the Gospel to their wider community by serving at the Healthy Steps Diaper Bank. The Diaper Bank provides thousands of diapers to at-risk families throughout the central PA region. They distribute around 30,000 diapers a month to Central PA babies so they can be clean, dry and healthy. But first, the diapers must be wrapped into sets of 25! In order to do so, volunteers helped to count and wrap diaper packets. It was a hands-on experience for babies in need.

Easter Baptisms

Pastor David Hardin who shared pictures from the baptisms that took place at FBC Bethlehem on Easter.

First Baptist Church of Lansdale shared photos of Easter Baptisms. Rev. Eric Kraihanzel and the church family celebrated the testimony of these Christ followers.

What a wonderful way to celebrate the resurrection, witnessing people profess their faith in Jesus and experience new life in Christ.

Covered By The Cross

The church family at West Shore Baptist shared in a Maundy Thursday Service that was filled with music, art and passionate remembrance of the sacrifice of the Savior. Focusing on the Cross, Pastor Kelly reminded the congregation that Jesus carried the sign of our sins to Calvary, giving everyone in the sanctuary an opportunity to nail those 'signs' to the cross.

Then, through pieces of canvas that were painted by members of the congregation during the service, the image of Christ appeared on the Cross as He 'covered' our sins, bearing them on our behalf. It was a powerful image to depict a powerful reality in each of our lives.

Welcome, Pastor Nate

The ABCOPAD Family wants to welcome to our region, Nate Ryan and his soon to be wife, Jennie, as the new pastor of the West Springfield Baptist Church.

Nathaniel (Nate) Ryan is originally from Cape Cod where his family has lived for three generations. Nate and his family have attended Brewster Baptist Church, an American Baptist congregation since 2004.

He attended Gordon College where he majored in Biblical Studies and Christian ministries. It was at Gordon where Nate fell in love with God’s Word and the history of the Christian church. The highlights of his undergraduate experience included serving as a research assistant to the faculty of the theology department, spending two summers interning in the youth ministry department of a large nondenominational church.

It is at Gordon where Nate also met his now fiancée, Jennie Segal. The couple will arrive at the church in mid-July following their wedding.

Prayers for Myanmar

As news broadcasts continue to report violence in Myanmar, a prayer vigil was held at Crossroads Baptist Church in Erie.

The congregation has had a long history of ministry to immigrants.

Our prayers continue for these partners in ministry who are seeing so much violence in their homeland.

Upper Merion Egg Hunt

Upper Merion Baptist Church shared some photos from an outreach the church had on Holy Saturday -- an Easter Egg Hunt kit giveaway.

Since many groups were not holding large Egg Hunts this year, the church created kits for individual families to have their own egg hunts.

They also shared extra kits with a number of families through the local Salvation Army.

The Week

Walkchalk Salem Baptist Church created and performed an Easter play titled "The Week". Despite 50mph winds, the 20-foot outdoor screen remained standing, as did a large tomb. The weather on Saturday was perfect, and though the winds on Sunday did take out one of the tents, the show went on. The response from the community was outstanding. As soon as one performance ended there were folks waiting for the start of the next one. Overall, roughly 325 people attend.  Check the video!

Love Unlimited Food Pantry

Love Unlimited recently launched its new food pantry ministry. The church became a Crisis Food Distributor for the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank. Its location across the street from the senior housing tower and low income apartments made us the perfect choice.

The pantry gave 50 boxes to the Lycoming College food pantry for International students who are unable to return home on breaks. When the college is on break the cafeteria is closed.

An additional 62 boxes were distributed to families and seniors. Charles used a shopping cart to deliver food to the seniors and families without any way to get them home. It was very exciting to be able to help so many families struggling with food insecurities.
