North Hills Community Baptist Church

Staff Appreciation Sunday was held at the North Hills Community Baptist Church (Pittsburgh), where Dr. Tim Spring is the senior pastor. What a wonderful day of encouragement an?d worship! In addition to a reception following the service and a special "thank you video" during worship, the church family also had boxes to receive written thank you note for all the members of the staff. What a great idea!

Blossburg Baptist Baptisms

Time to celebrate! This past Sunday there were 3 baptisms performed at the First Baptist Church of Blossburg. Rev. Allen Goss performed the baptisms.

Cherryville Baptist Revival

This weekend, into the first couple days of this week, Jeff is just across the ABCOPAD border into ABC of New Jersey serving as the evangelist for an old fashioned tent revival on the grounds of the Cherryville Baptist Church outside Flemington.

Rev. Tom Roberts, son of Bob Roberts (former national World Mission Support staffer and interim General Secretary), is the host pastor.

The church has set up a literal tent in the backyard of the church. The first night's service was a great demonstration of the cultural and denominational diversity of the congregations and people in their community.

Each service includes special music, a personal testimony, congregational singing, preaching, and a time of invitation. The church has been preparing for this for months with intense and intentional periods of prayer, fasting, and Bible reading.

The Spirit of God has already moved among those gathered with expectations of 'greater works' in the nights to come.

PHBC Happenings

Sunday August 14th, we baptized four folks into membership, bringing our total new members for this year to 7. When we add this to the 6 from last fall, we find that God is truly blessing our little congregation.
