All of us are familiar with the iconic life guard life saver ring. It brings to mind those that are in need and the ability to provide aid. The American Baptist Churches of Pennsylvania and Delaware seeks to aid pastors, congregations and those that are in need. When you give to Partners In Ministry you aid us so we can aid others. I'm confused...
Wasn't this called
"The ABCOPAD Regional Offering"?
Why the name change to
"ABCOPAD-Partners in Ministry"?
1. Our ministry together really is one of Partnership, and so it was felt that it would be better to have the name reflect more of what we’re about as an ABCOPAD Family.
2. The second reason represents a change in the way we are doing ministry today. The name “ABCOPAD Regional Offering” places emphasis on a onetime gift to support structure and institution. Partners In Ministry (PIM) receives contributions throughout the year that supports exciting regional work enhancing ministry in the local church. Partners in Ministry keeps our vision focused on partnership with local churches and pastoral leaders to fulfill Christ’s mission in our world. There will be many windows of opportunity throughout the year to highlight ways ABCOPAD is strengthening and encouraging ministry in your congregation thus providing numerous opportunities to promote PIM donations.
The theme comes out of the vision for our Region. --
