Director of Music Part-Time Calvary Baptist Church of Allentown 4601 W. Tilghman Street Allentown, PA. 18104 American Baptist Churches USA(ABC/USA) 200-300 Blended/Traditional $14,000-$17,000 depending on experience and qualifications.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Director of Music shall be a person of faith who will support the church’s mission statement and values.

• Serve on the Worship Committee as an ex-officio member.
• Consult with the Pastor and other church staff members and independent groups such as the bell choir in the planning
• Select the music for and direct the choir. Coordinate with other ensembles and/or individual musicians and schedule music for all Worship Services and programs where music is needed or requested.
• Coordinate with the Christian Education Board to include children and youth music in the Worship Service and help provide music for them in Sunday school.
• Pursue efforts to grow the ministry of music and allow for adaptation as the needs of the church change.
