In Memoriam - Pastor Frank Lane

 

Norman Franklin "Frank" Lane, 71, of 1013 Rutledge Rd., Transfer, PA, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, August 30, 2021, at his residence.

Frank was born in Mount Vernon, OH on August 16, 1950, to Claude Lee and Lois Minerva (Coleman) Lane.

A 1968 graduate of Reynolds High School and 1978 graduate of Bible School in Transfer, Frank proudly served in the military from 1969 -1974 with the Navy and Naval Reserves. He was president of SMEA Bible College in Transfer, PA. He has been a pastor since 2012, serving the Community Church of God in Transfer and Transfer First Baptist Church. Since 2017, Frank has also been employed by Anderson Bus in Greenville as a bus driver. Frank was a lifelong Cleveland Browns fan and one of the biggest fans and supporters of Reynolds wrestling. He loved traveling and visiting with his grandkids in Florida.

Frank is survived by his wife, April Darlene (Dougher) Lane. They were married on March 25, 1989, at the Transfer First Baptist Church. Also surviving are two daughters, Stephanie Lenae Cooper, and her husband, Michael, of Winter Garden, FL, and Kelsey Darlene Lane and Mike Eastlick of Transfer, PA; three granddaughters, Zoe Lane Cooper, Zion Reign Cooper, and Zayda Jane Cooper, all of Winter Garden, FL; one brother, Claude Coleman and his wife, Linda Lou, of Bradenton, FL; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Lois Lane.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Osborne-Williams Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc.,73-75 Columbia Ave. Greenville, PA 16125 & on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, from 10:00 am - 10:45 am at Transfer First Baptist Church, Inc., 50 Broad Street, Transfer, PA 16154.

A funeral service will be held at Transfer First Baptist Church, Inc., 50 Broad Street, Transfer, at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, with Pastor Lee Hiney, of United Brethren in Christ, officiating.

Military honors will be provided by Reynolds VFW Post 7599.
