GAP: The Man God Uses

A handful of ABMen study and support groups --- dubbed "GAP Groups" --- are meeting across the region. Groups meet weekly to study and pray together, getting to know one another and deepening their walk with the Lord.

Jeff Johnson is the liaison from our region staff to the ABMen, providing study guides for the book the GAP Groups are using. If you are interested in being in a GAP group, contact Jeffrey Johnson, Regional Pastor with Congregations.

Study groups are using the following resources:

When it comes to faith, most men don't feel very super. We see our struggles to walk with God, we realize that we each have some Kryptonite in our lives, and our enemy loves to remind us of all of our shortcomings. Can you relate? Once again, author Steve Etner has written a practical resource to help men walk in purity, integrity and godliness as "Super Men" of the faith. Through this book he'll help you adjust your spiritual appetite, strengthen your home base, and even identify and defeat your kryptonite. Built as an 11-week devotional guide (5 days a week), "Are You A Super Man" is a must for any Christian man striving to please God.

The Man God Uses by Henry and Tom Blackaby is a guidebook for Christian men who seek to follow God's will in their homes, offices, churches, and communities. In the book's preface, Henry Blackaby (author of the bestselling Experiencing God) observes that "Men's hearts are feeling a tremendous surge of God's activity today. It is as if God has announced: 'The world has had my people long enough! I am calling them back to me. I will mold them and shape them for my purposes in my world!'" The Man God Uses outlines a seven-week course of scriptural study, including prayer suggestions and questions to be answered in a daily journal. Equally useful for men studying alone or in small groups, The Man God Uses will help many readers attune themselves to God's presence in their daily lives and discern God's will for their futures.
