Rev. Lois Yeagle and the church family at White Deer Valley Baptist Church celebrated  the church's 200th anniversary on June 21 and 22. A tent meeting was held on the Saturday, June 21, featuring Dr. Tony Campollo.  Despite threatening thunderstorms moving throughout the area, the gathering was very well attended.  On Saturday night beginning at 7 p.m. the celebration started with a time of Praise and Worship led by “Emmanuel’s Praise,” a choir from the Emmanuel Bible Fellowship Church in Sunbury.  Following the choir, Dr. Campolo brought a powerful message challenging everyone to put their faith in Jesus into action through ministry marked by acts of Christian love.  Along with the tent meeting there was a bake sale that not only offered delicious treats to those in attendance but also assisted a young lady from the church who will be going away on a mission trip to Russia this summer.  On Sunday morning Dr. Campolo and the church family returned to the tent for morning worship.
