The Baptist Churches Of Troy And East Troy Celebrate Baptisms

Complete Photo Album Of This Event
The Churches of Troy & East Troy gathered on Sunday, May 18 to celebrate the baptism of 8 folks. The service included the uplifting music of the combined choirs. Folks shared their testimony & words of encouragement for the candidates. Again we had a chance to remember the "fundamentals" of our faith. That is: our salvation and right-relationship with God is not secured when we are baptized; rather we are baptized because we have come to realize that our salvation & right-relationship with God is secured by what Jesus Christ has done for us at the Cross. Indeed we were blessed by the great attendance of church members & guests, but it must be noted that "surely the presence of the Lord was in this place".
"Holy Moments" like this don't happen without the involvement & teamwork of many others. Thanks to Jeff Holdren, Jack Andrus & Frosty Harkness for setting up the baptistry & making sure everything worked. Thanks to Dave Loomis for directing the combined choirs. Thanks to all the singers
from Troy & East Troy who lifted their voices in praise. Thanks to all who worked in the kitchen & to all who provided food for the reception which followed. It was so great to see so many folks linger and visit afterwards.
May the Lord bless & keep these 8 folks, that they along with us may continue to grow up into Christ who is our "head."
