Baptisms on February 24, 2008

Muncy Baptist Church voted to accept nine prospective members back in January. They had sat through baptismal and membership classes and were ready to join. The only problem, we came to find out, was the baptistery could not hold water. After much brainstorming (and the very quickly voted down idea to baptize in the river during winter) we decided on a practical and cost efficient solution, a pool liner. One was custom made and installed for us and we are proud to announce that the baptisms occurred without incident on February 24. These nine people are a blessing to our church and the whole day was a joyous celebration of God’s goodness.
