The worship service on Sunday, April 27, at FEBC, Bloomsburg was bittersweet. It was marked by a wonderful celebration as five individuals made public professions of faith in Jesus through the waters of baptism. Rev. Lee Barnhardt took time to pray with each person he baptized as they expressed their faith in Christ. The service was bittersweet due to the recent death of Bill Lowthert. Bill was a leader in the life of the church and was healed of cancer when God called him to his reward in heaven. The church family was quick to provide care and comfort for Bill's wife, Thelma, and her family, who were in attendance for the baptismal service. A memorial service was held for Bill the following Saturday. Please continue to pray for Thelma and her family as they adjust to Bill”s absence.
