How To View A Video File
Found On Our Web Site

We are glad you have decided to view a video file available on our web site.  The video files found here are .wmv files.   These are Windows Media Videos designed to play on Windows Media Player.  Most computers using a windows operating system already have Windows Media Player installed on their system.  It is recommended that you update your Windows Media Player software to the current version for the best results in playing the wmv files offered on this site.  To update your Windows Media Player open the program (usually found by going to start and then programs) and use the help menu found at the end of the tool bar near the top of the page.  Select the "check for player updates" command to begin the process of updating your software.   You can download Windows Media Player at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download/default.asp .

There are a number of ways to view these files.  Often, simply clicking on a .wmv file link will start Windows Media Player directly in your internet browser software.  You can also choose to have the file open in a separate window usually allowing for a larger area to view the video.  One problem with these techniques are the videos often appear to stutter or freeze as your internet attempts to fill the memory buffer by downloading the file while also playing the file.  Another way to view this tyoe of file is to download it to your hard drive and then play it.  To accomplish this, simply right click on the file (place the mouse pointer over the file you want to select and click on the button located on the right hand side of your mouse).  A pop-up window will appear on your computer screen.  Select (left click) "Save Target As" and then when given a chance choose a file name and the file location (The default name and location often work best) and finally click save.  Once the file has downloaded you can select open it to view the video.  If you prefer you can open the Windows Media Player. Then, use the file command and select open. Then you can browse to the location where your file was saved and open it from there.

One word of warning, all of these files are very large.  High speed internet access is recommended.  Using a dial up connect may require and hour or more to access and view the files.

It is our hope that enjoy these files.  Please email me at msmsmail@earthlink.net with any questions.
