FBC York Travels To Arizona For Missions

In November 2007, the First Baptist Church of York sent a mission team to the Hopi Reservation in NW Arizona to rebuild the roof on the historic Sunlight Baptist Mission (pictured). The group worked for a week with Native American Baptist believers from Oklahoma, New Mexico and Arizona, replacing the church roof and the roof on another church building. Church mission teams have worked for four years building a new hurricane proof church in La Romana, and now they will have a roof capable of withstanding the strong winds and rain of hurricanes. This June, the church will send a team of 25-30 people down to work on construction of a school, do food and clothing distribution and hopefully do a medical clinic
