The Church Leadership Institute of Western Pennsylvania held its graduation ceremony for the 2006--2008 Pastoral Ministry Track at the Zion Baptist Church of Slippery Rock, PA on Sunday, June 8.  Several hundred friends, family, instructors, colleagues, and representatives of the Northwest, Southwest, and Pittsburgh areas came together to honor the seven graduates of the two-year educational program.  This year's graduates are Mr. James Carpenter, West Waynesburg Jesus Distributors; Mr. Daniel Cass; Mr. Brad Hogue, Blairsville; Mrs. Ellen Johnson; Mrs. Suzanne Petrill, Jeanette; Mrs. Kathy Richard; and Mrs. Joanne Wilson, Mount Moriah.  The commencement address "Remember Tomorrow" was offered by Rev. David Waldo, Pastor of Greenfield Baptist, and a CLI instructor who was a particular favorite of this year's graduating class.  Over 150 persons have graduated from CLI Western Pennsylvania since its inception as the Lay Pastor Institute back in the late 1980s and early 1990s.  Many graduates have gone on to become Certified Lay Ministers (CLMs) and quite a few are serving as pastors of our constitutent churches at this time.  CLI Western Pennsylvania is governed by an Executive Board composed of the three sponsoring ABCOPAD areas.  Mrs. Amy Mendicino serves as the CLI West Administrator.  Amy was very excited to see another class complete its studies and receive the coveted diplomas.    Rev.
