MISSION STATEMENT:
"Clara's House" is a caring ministry which supplies a place to live for single women that find themselves in an unplanned pregnancy who desire to go full term.
Our Purpose:
Imagine yourself single and you find out that you are pregnant. It's not something you planned; it's the last thing you wanted to happen. Now imagine yourself telling your boyfriend and he demands that you get an abortion, or imagine that you tell your parents and they kick you out of your home. You are embarrassed, frightened, confused, angry. You feel abortion is wrong, but yet, where do you go? Where do you turn? There is an answer!
A group of concerned Christians formed a non-profit corporation to help women who were in an unplanned or crisis pregnancy situation. This caring ministry began as a vision and this vision involved opening a home where the women would live for the duration of their pregnancy. The vision of this home became a reality. This home has been called, "Clara's House."
When a woman comes to Clara's House, she receives unconditional love and protection by a caring houseparent. Many services are offered to each woman, such as counseling, learning independent living skills, and medical check ups, just to name a few. And since this is a Christian ministry, church attendance is required.
This is a wonderful, Christian ministry and you can be a part of it! How? First, pray for the overall ministry purpose, the board and for the women and babies it will effect. Second, ask God to show you how you might be able to help us with our financial needs. You can also consider offering your time and experience in volunteer work. And please don't hesitate to spread the word to others about this ministry.
