You may have noticed that the American Baptist "new and improved" stewardship website is now complete and online: http://www.abc-usa.org. Here is a glimpse of what you will find: Ø Tool #1 “A Stewardship Minute” o “A Stewardship Minute” is helpful in communicating the message of stewardship to a congregation quickly and simply. It alleviates the need for a pastor to create fresh ways to approach the topic of stewardship each month. The articles are balanced among stewardship of time, talents and resources. They are provided in the form of a RSS feed, easily tailored to your website and “turn-key,” so there is no effort for you once the RSS feed code is on your site (We change the article each month…the RSS Feed just reads it! It should take your webmaster just a few minutes to place the RSS feed code on your site. After that, there is no work to be done. We will select a monthly example to be featured in our Stewardship publication, read by over 1 million people each month. We will also make a $100 contribution to their church or favorite charity. This has proven to be an exciting way for pastors and stewardship leaders to get people involved in stewardship. Ø Tool #3 Our complimentary samples program. Mission Resource Development within the Office of the General Secretary is pleased to announce the debut of new stewardship pages on the American Baptist Churches USA Web site. This site will provide support for anyone engaged in stewardship promotion, including pastors and local church stewardship committees. Designed to be user friendly, these new pages include real-life stories of how United Mission dollars are at work in our world. Articles of interest, links to other resources and motivational stories can also be found in this one location.

Viewers may also click here to go directly to the site. These new pages are a large step forward in providing easy-to-use support for the important task of stewardship awareness.
During its development, all of the regional Ministers of Mission Support and a few other key persons had the opportunity to review the site and provide feedback. It is expected that ongoing feedback from the regions and from local churches will allow the site to continue to grow to meet the changing needs of our denomination.
