AWANA Celebration

  Moreland Baptist, Muncy, has had an exciting year with their Awana Kids Club.  They have between 50 and 60 kids attending each week.  On April 30, they had a World Missions Trip night complete with Passports that had to be stamped as they arrived at each location.  The passports also included BIM Prayer Cards for Chuck & Ruth Fox, Thailand; Bruce & Ann Borquist, Brazil, and Glen & Rita Chapman, D.R. Congo.  Two of the girls, Lydia & Marilee Getgen, did extensive research of Thailand and Brazil, and shared their info including a focus on the missionaries mentioned above.  We were able to download a video clip of Chuck Fox from YouTube to share as well.  Our last mission stop was in the D.R. Congo where we watched a video made by Timothy Chapman of his African pets.  This video was made available to us from International Ministries for a small shipping fee.  The kids loved it!

  Our last Awana club night, May 6, featured "Pie-in-the-Eye" with the target being former Youth Pastor, Dave Klock.  Every student memorizing 16 verses since April 2 got to throw a pie!  We thank Dave for being such a great sport!
