ABCOPAD Spring Board Meeting

The First Baptist Church of Brookville, PA hosted the Region Board as they met May 2-3, 2008.  Thirty board members and staff were in attendance.  The meeting began at 1 p.m. on Friday and concluded on Saturday at noon.

Executive Minister, Rev. Frank Frischkorn, led the group in opening devotions. Rather than meeting in Commissions as we have in the past, the Board met together for a time of education around Region finances and ministries.  Caryl Casey presented a skit about finances.  Together we listed 47 ministries/resources available to our local churches.  There was good discussion.  Board members were reminded that they are the connection between their associations and the Region.  Strong emphasis was given to the website and all the resources and information that can be found there. The meeting ended with the Board empowering Region President, Sue MacDonald, to appoint a task force for the purpose of looking at a more effective Board structure.
