“at the edge… THE VOICE OF TRUTH”
  What a magnificent weekend we had at Shippensburg University for the 2007 PA/DE Women’s Conference. If you didn’t have the opportunity to be with us talk to one of the ladies or area ministers that were there. We had more than a mountain top experience. We sang praises with “The Grace Notes” from Ohio, we opened each day with blessed devotions with Judy Johnsen; we walked on the water with Bible Study leader Rev. Dr. Eleanor Cardenas; we walked on the roads of Nicaragua with missionary Dr. Laura Parajón and we made crafts to send to our conference project, The Kodiak Baptist Mission, but most important, we walk with God all during our time together. My prayer is that everyone is still walking with Him and will “Step out of their comfort zones” into even more exciting adventure with our Lord.
 
  I just wanted to give you a few statistics from conference.  
  • We had 278 full-time conferees 15 part-time conferees for a total of 293 registrations, just 7 short of our goal of 300.
  • There were 51 first-timers.
  • 22 associations represented
  • Delaware had the most registrations of 28 and others were real close to them.
  • We were blessed to have 14 AB GIRLS with us for the weekend.
  • Our regional project (to raise $15,000 for the Kodiak Baptist Mission) as we ended the weekend was only $718.97 short. Remember you can still give to it by designating on your check that it is for the 2006-2007 regional project. We’re so close.
  • Our Love Gift celebrated its 75th anniversary and you gave $1,470.00 to it.

Hi Friends,  I have a praise to share with everyone!! I had the great opportunity to lead the 14 GIRLS that attended AB Women's Conference this weekend.
  We had a great time learning about Queen Esther and stepping out of our own comfort zones. I myself was challenged as a few of the GIRLS shared stories of their own and how they stepped out in faith at school, home, and at church. I wish the Women of the Region could have had the opportunity to listen and share with these GIRLS. They are AWESOME!!  Cindy Martin
