Opportunities To Serve In Upcoming Mission Trips Through IM
Dear Partners in Mission,
It has been an amazing summer already! You have been serving God around the world, teaching English in China, connecting with brothers and sisters in Mexico, rebuilding a school in Haiti, ministering to the physical and spiritual needs in the bateyes in the Dominican Republic and so, so much more!
We have many opportunities for you to engage in God's work during the rest of this year and into 2011.
October 2010, China and Tibet
The American Baptist Churches of Massachusetts and American Baptist Churches International Ministries are collaborating on a mission trip to China and Tibet in October 2010. This trip is in support of the mission work being done in China and the two year project underway to build a girl’s dorm at the Jatson Chumig School and Orphanage in Lhasa, Tibet. The trip is estimated to cost $3,300 for a 2-week trip from October 10-23, 2010. As team members sign up more detailed information will be provided. Deadline to sign up is July 31, 2010.
Burma November 1 - 10, 2010 Cost $1500* not including airfare
Prepare to be blessed and inspired as you are introduced to the people and ministry of the Myanmar Baptist Convention in the place where American Baptist Foreign Missions began. Call or email us for a brochure.

Holy Land/Lebanon January 4 - 15, 2011 Cost $3548
From January 4 - 15, be on a “Lands of the Bible Study Tour” through the Holy Land, and then on January 15, head to Lebanon to see the ministry of Dan and Sarah Chetti, American Baptist International Ministries missionaries in Beirut.

Thailand January 14 - 27, 2011 Cost $2000 est* not including airfare
Serve in a rural village, as part of a team providing clean drinking water, and Jesus, the Living Water to those who thirst for both. Outreach includes VBS, medical, servanthood, sports, and drama. Come, experience a Hill Tribe culture; see God at work in amazing ways!

Ghana May 25 - June 2, 2011 $3500
The Ghana Heritage Mission Adventure will provide opportunity for participants to consider God’s mission and call in light of their historical, cultural and faith ties to and interests in Ghana/West Africa. You’ll visit historical and cultural sites, events, and leaders in Ghana, especially those of significance to the history of African Americans, and visit ministries and project sites of the Ghana Baptist Convention (GBC). Participate in fellowship, preaching, and ministering in selected churches of the GBC, and interact with GBC leadership at all levels.

Serbia Summer 2011 Cost $500 est* not including airfare
Serbia, part of the former Yugoslavia, has been a separate country for only three years. But Baptists have been there for hundreds, thousands, of years. Yet, although there are 2,000 Baptists in Serbia now, Baptist is not recognized as a national religion. Come to Serbia and encourage your brothers and sisters in Christ, and be encouraged as you see how God is moving in amazing ways. This trip would include activities that would match the group’s gifts, and may include construction and VBS.
XTREME TEAM HAITI
June 22 - July 22, 2011 Cost: TBD
Be a part of what God is doing in Haiti through missionaries, partner conventions, volunteers, and mostly, the Haitian people. Young adults ages 19 - 29 go to www.xtremeteamonline.org for an application and reference form. Dates subject to change slightly.
