Hurricane Harvey

Dear ABCOPAD regional family,

Our mind and hearts over the weekend and this Monday are filled with prayers for our brothers and sisters in Christ in Texas and the Gulf Coast who are dealing with the Hurricane Harvey disaster.

Many of you have reached out to the region asking for how you might be able to help. ABCOPAD staffers are working to coordinate with national ABC staffers and will get back to you with specifics in the future.

Our own regional point person, Mark Mahserjian-Smith and the national point person, Vickie Goff are in Alaska on a mission trip with ABCOPADers with a four hour time difference, so coordinating a response will be done, but we have to make sure we share the correct things as quickly as possible.

What our brothers and sisters in the Gulf Coast needs right now, literally, as the disaster continues are our prayers. Please join us in prayer:

Heavenly Father, creator of heaven and earth, we lift up all of those millions of people who have already been impacted by the Hurricane in the Gulf. Father we know that this is not over and that many more continue to need our prayers. We pray for all of the families affected that You would grant them safety and comfort during this difficult time. We ask that you provide for their immediate needs and grant them a power sense of Your presence and peace. We pray for all of those selflessly serving to keep people safe amidst the storm, grant them wisdom and courage. We pray for all the volunteers helping their neighbors, protect them and meet their needs as well. Father, we know that the really hard and intentional work will come in the hours, days, weeks, and months to come. Help each one of us to know how we might be able to make a difference and answer to all of these prayers. We ask, in the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, Amen.

Your ABCOPAD Staff

NOTE:
