Medical/Dental Mission to the
Dominican Republic

Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Smithfield, Rev. Jay Hurley, Pastor, is sponsoring a Medical/Dental Mission to the Dominican Republic, February 20-27, 2010.  They will work with American Baptist Missionary, Madeline Flores.  25 spaces have been reserved ~ Dentists are especially needed.  Dental Assistants are also in great need.  Dental equipment will be provided.

The cost is $900:  it covers airfare, room (hotels with showers), board and related expenses.

Madeline Flores:  Madeline serves as the coordinator of mission volunteers and groups throughout the Caribbean. She is located in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. A steadily increasing number of volunteers from the USA and Puerto Rico have been serving in the Caribbean during the past few years. Madeline will be coordinating mission volunteers in this exciting time for ministry in the Caribbean.

Her passion for missions began when Madeline attended her first World Mission Conference, in 1990. Working on God's timetable, she began to fulfill her mission call by participating in short term mission trips during her vacation time, and going to seminary. Ten years later, at the World Mission Conference in 2000, Madeline knew it was time to resign from her day job and become a full-time missionary with International Ministries.

Madeline's enthusiasm for missions is contagious. She stresses that missions are for everyone! "Any age, race, gender, color . . . you just need to have a heart" to serve.
