Partnering with ABCNJ in Mission

The third component of our ABCOPAD Regional Vision calls for us to 'build healthy partnerships with our wider ABC Family'. We do that not only through our ministry partnerships with International Ministries and the American Baptist Home Mission Socieites, but also through our relationships with sister regions across the ABC.
One region that we have had a close tie with in recent years is the American Baptist Churches of New Jersey. Just this past spring, the Executive Minister for ABCNJ, the Rev. Dr. Lee Spitzer, served as the presenter for the two Pastor's Retreats that were held: one at Camp Judson and the other at Camp Ichthus. Just this past weekend, we had the opportunity to 'return the favor' as our Regional Executive Pastor, Frank Frischkorn, served as one of the key facilitators at the ABCNJ Staff Retreat that took place at the Seaview Baptist Church in Linwood, New Jersey.
In addition to the ministry of Bruce and Ann Borquist, ABC International Ministries 
missionaries to Brazil, who served by providing a series of creative team building activities, Frank was asked to come and facilitate a discussion with the New Jersey staff on the changing roles of regions in our ABC Family. In doing so, Frank also had the opportunity to share about our new ministry design and vision, as well as to explore additional ways that our two regions might be able to partner together for mission in the coming days.
