Karen Student Nel Plah Win Shares Video Testimony

Greetings to family and friends and all who care about, work with, and/or worship with Karen refugees,
In case you don't know, the Karen people are a tribal group from the mountains of Burma and Thailand, the people with whom my parents worked as missionaries for many years. Over the years, my parents continued to study the Karen language, even to the point of being able to give sermons in Karen. Last year, after being retired in the Midwest for many years, my parents moved to a retirement community in Indianapolis. The timing was fantastic, as many Karens from refugee camps were just arriving in Indianapolis. My parents do a lot of volunteer work with the Karen there, much of which involves translating.
Here's the link to a new, 4 and a half minute video made by 17 yr. old Nel Plah. She made the video for a school project but it does a nice job of showing and telling about her and her family's life on the run fleeing Burma, in the Tham Hin refugee camp and now in the US. She wrote that she hopes the video will be seen by at least 1000 people so they will better understand who the Karen people are. Here is the link to the video: http://www.fogwell.org/mystory/. There's also a link to this video in the "Recent Updates" section of the KarenKonnection web site.
