November 2011 ABCOPAD Haiti Mission Team
All of us are painfully aware of the human suffering taking place in Haiti following the January 2010 earthquake that struck killing hundreds of thousands of people and leaving over 1.5 million homeless. In January 2011 ABCOPAD sent its first mission team to Haiti, led by our own ABCOPAD Regional Executive Pastor, Rev. Dr. Frank Frischkorn. Since that initial trip, three additional teams have traveled to Grand Goave, Haiti (November 2011, Januray 2012 and February 2012) to construct Rubble Homes and bring encouragement to the people of this community. Another trip to Grand Goave is scheduled for January 19 - 28, 2013. This trip will be led by Pastor David Leninsky and Mrs. Mary Ritter. Pastor Dave serves at Centerville Community Baptist Church and Mary Ritter is a member of the Watsontown Baptist Church and an officer in the Region's AB Women's Ministry. Both have been on previous mission trips building rubble homes in Haiti. This will be a 16 member team with the trip including 2 travel days to and from Haiti, a couple of afternoons at the beach, and 7 days to work on the mission project. The cost of the trip is $1600.00 (airfare, room, meals, etc). The cost for the inoculations will be over and above the cost of the trip.

...Work side by side with someone who has experienced a dramatic story related to the earthquake.
...Forge friendships with your other team members.
...Help with various construction tasks in support of national skilled laborers.
...Serve the people of Haiti by extending your hands in compassion, love, and hope. You will show them that they are not forgotten.
