THE BARNABAS NETWORK LAUNCHES!
Dear ABCOPAD Partners in Ministry:
It is with great joy that the ABCOPAD Ministers Council announces the official launch of the Barnabas Network. This exciting new ministry venture has been created to provide care for the pastors of our Region and their families in a more intentional way.
The idea for this network was born several years ago as the Ministers Council began to seek ways to strengthen pastors for ministry. Our Area Ministers have been instrumental in helping to design the Network. They will be working directly with the Barnabas Care Pastors to provide more comprehensive support and care for pastors and their families. The Barnabas Network does not replace the care of your Area Minister, but complements it in ways that allow for increased interaction and support.
Each Association in our Region will have its own Barnabas Care Pastor. The Care Pastor will be contacting each pastor in that association shortly. Care Pastors will be visiting with pastors, corresponding with them, praying for them, and supporting them in a variety of ways. Care Pastors will be available for support and encouragement. These Care Pastors seek to come alongside of you in your ministry journey to share your joys and concerns. They will be a valuable resource and support to you as you serve the Lord in your congregation and community.
It is our hope that you will come to know your Care Pastor as a friend and partner in ministry to support and encouragement you and your family.
The Ministers Council is here for you. Please feel free to contact a member of our Executive Committee with any question or concerns you have.
Faithfully:
Rev. Margie McCarty, President
Rev. Rusty Horning, 1st Vice President
Pastor Kathy Griffith, 2nd Vice President
Pastor Mary Bryant, Treasurer
Pastor Ken Knapp, At Large
Pastor Marcia Shaffer, At Large
Rev. Frank Frischkorn, Executive Minister
