In June 2006, the Colonial Park Baptist Church was awarded a $1,100 grant from the Release God's Power Mission Fund to purchase audiovisual equipment.  Colonial Park purchased a digital projector and electronic screen for their sanctuary to be used during the contemporary worship service. 

The digital projector has benefited the congregation in many ways.  The ability to incorporate pictures has enhanced the contemporary service.  The projector has also been integrated into special Sunday School programs and projects. 

Beginning in February, Colonial Park's "Family Night," will feature family-friendly movies.  These family nights are designed to reach out to the community.  On February 24, at 6:30 p.m., the feature film will be "The Perfect Stranger."  On Good Friday, there will be two showings of "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe."  We invite you to join us!

The Release God's Power Mission Fund has had an impact at the Colonial Park Baptist Church.  The grant enabled the church to purchase audiovisual equipment that helped to energize the contemporary service.  As a result, several people have returned to or committed to regular worship attendance.

The purpose of this fund is to support new and expanded ministries
of American Baptist Congregations in Pennsylvania and Delaware.    

Objectives of the Release God's Power Mission Fund

A.  To help existing churches to reach new people.

B.  To increase support of youth and family ministries.

C.  To start new churches and help existing churches relocate.

D.  To expand leadership training and development.

E.  To respond to new opportunities for mission.
