Receives $2,000 Grant to Refurbish the Camp

On Sunday, June 17, 2007, Pittsburgh Interim Area Minister, Rev. Dr. Nathan Williams presented a check in the amount of $2,000 from the Ministries of Christian Discipleship Fund, to Camp Carmel Treasurer, Anna Lee Earnest and Camp Director, Clint Iams. The presentation was made during Opening Weekend at the conclusion of the morning worship in the vesper area. The grant has been used to purchase paint and lumber to rejuvenate the appearance of the camp. |

In Addition, New Porch Railings Have Been Installed on Four Cabins |
The Ministries of Christian Discipleship Fund
The fund was established with the ABCOPAD share of the proceeds from the sale of the Laurel Highlands Baptist Camp. The earnings from the fund are used to support cooperative ministries of making Christian disciples in the ABCOPAD region. At least 50% of the funds distributed each calendar year support camping, conferencing and retreat ministries. Additionally, the cooperative ministries of youth and family events, leadership training and development, and similar joint evangelistic and eduational efforts are supported with grants.
