Where's Jeff??
Jeff Johnson, our ABCOPAD Regional Pastor with Congregations as well as our ABCUSA National Director of Evangelism and New Church Planting, spent the end of last week and this weekend with one of our sister regions, the ABC Churches of Nebraska, at their annual convention hosted by the First Baptist Church of Kearney, Nebraska.
The gathering began with a day-long pastor training event sponsored by their Ministers' Council. The information shared was based on an article Jeff wrote for the Spring 2014 issue of Christian Citizen, discipleSHIFT: 1st century practices applicable to our 21st century reality. The focus of the two day convention was Acts 1:8, being a witness to the whole world. Jeff spoke at both the opening and closing plenaries, as well as at the ABMen luncheon.
On Sunday, Jeff spoke at the host church at both their morning services which are streamed live over the internet and broadcast over local radio. There was a tremendous outpouring of the Holy Spirit during an invitation at both services. The front of the church packed praying for their own needs or the needs of others.
