Baptist Homes is a not-for-profit charitable organization ministering to seniors in the South Hills of Pittsburgh since 1910. Founded by American Baptist Churches, our mission has expanded over the years and now provides almost 300 older adults with a full continuum of services on our Mt. Lebanon campus. These include nursing and dementia care, assisted living, wellness and rehabilitation therapies, and independent living, with a commitment to excellence and benevolence. Our organization has earned accreditation from the Continuing Care Accreditation Commission. Visit Baptist Home's website to learn more about this ministry. http://www.baptisthomes.org/

In order to minister to even more senior adults, Baptist Homes is developing a new continuing care retirement community (CCRC). Providence Point will be located on a separate campus just a short distance from our current facility, and will provide a new lifestyle option for active seniors under a lifecare contract. With an anticipated opening in late 2008, Providence Point will offer 216 independent apartments and 36 private homes, with a central commons area offering different dining venues, a library, art studio, theater, and fully equipped wellness center and pool. On August 12, 2005, the Rankin Christian Center celebrated 100 years of service with a Ribbon Cutting Celebration for the expansion of their main building.
The construction of a 3-storey addition with a useable basement will better enable the Center to meet the needs of their target group: at-risk and after-school children, head start program, senior citizens, the mentally challenged clients and their caregivers. The Center serves over 10,000 children, youth, families and seniors each year. |
